Podcast: Play in new window | Download (Duration: 1:01:16 — 56.1MB)
We had a good time chatting about the upcoming New Media Cincinnati Second Saturday. Direct download (mp3, 1:01:16, 56.1 MB). Many thanks to all who participated live on the call, whether you were able to dial in or not. Please check out the twitterstream from the chat.
Music
Through the magic of post-production, I added two songs from The Lions Rampant:
- “Let Us In! (Come On)”, The Lions Rampant
- “Cryin’ All The Time”, The Lions Rampant
The theme music used at the beginning and end is called “Surf Babe” from Alamantra as found on Mevio’s Music Alley. Thanks again to them and other artists for letting us use their music on this program.

August 2009 Second Saturday Review
- Thanks to Don Sceifers and Eric Marschall for joining in on the call.
- The Questions from a Hat format really works well for this group because we’re able to tap into the collective knowledge that each person attending has.
September 2009 Second Saturday Format
- New Media Cincinnati. Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). American Marketing Association (AMA). Business Networking International (BNI).
- Groups such as these and many others are made up of people in similar professions and backgrounds.
- How do individuals and businesses in these organizations engage one another?
- Do we come to events to solicit business from other attendees?
- How should this be done amicably, if at all?
- Should/do organizers of events get any remuneration from this type of business being done?
- What if someone wants to promote something to the group that will mean income for them?
- What makes you as a potential customer pick one person/colleague over another?
- Get ready for a great discussion.
Next Steps
- Look for the Eventbrite invitations via e-mail and at the website in the next day or so.
- Contact me if you’d like to be added to the list.
- Make plans to attend the next Second Saturday event.
- Get ready for another great discussion and some great open networking.
